Should the hamon of a Japanese sword blade go the complete lenth of the sword with no breaks on both sides of the sword blade or is just one side still a sign of a good sword blade.Question 2 I saw a Japanese sword that had detail insects on the brass mounts such as crickets,praying mantus,beetles,grasshoppers,locust,I think that covers them what do they represent in Japanese culture.
