    4 Japanese Rifles!!

Hello fellow collectors!, hows this for a find today!,,,,4 rifles, the one on the Left has the flower still on it!, they are a little rusty, but they will clean up nicely!, straight bolts on 3 of them, then the longer one on the right has a curved bolt, the actions work great, I'll have to take some better pictures, when it's not snowing!.
opinions, and comments,,,,welcome,,,and I'll part with them, once I learn a little more about them. What flower is that on the receiver?,,,,,,
    thank you.
    Kindly...

          Hi Bernie, nice find!

The flower is the Chrysanthemum, which is the Imperial symbol. Often ground off or defaced by surrendering Japanese soldiers so no to disgrace the Emperor. Called the "Mum" by US collector; you guys love those abbreviations One with the "Mum" intact will be worth more.

          Cheers, Ade.

Great finds ! Post detailed photos of the serial number area and we can find out what the series and arsenal they are from. Also the long rifle looks to be a Type 38 rifle with a sniper (Type 97) bolt on it. The bolt hanlde seems to be too long to be a turned down T-38 bolt. If indeed the bolt is a T-97 bolt, the bolt alone is VERY valuable.

If they are brought back by the same vet, try to keep them together if you are looking to sell them. I bought a rifle from a dealer and I later got to meet the vet who brought it back, and he has about 10 other rifles from the same boat(they were piled in on a landing craft ready to be dumped in the ocean) and he will give me one when he figures out which one he wants to get rid of, and when he does, they will stay together for as long as I live. And as nice as the rifles are, you should have no problem selling them, and I would buy them all if I were rich.
