I saw a similar set up about four months ago for $3,500 but I'm fairly certain it had been for sale for a little while without any takers. The inside of the barrel looked like it had a pickle sitting in it for the last 70 years as well, that was the biggest problem I noticed about it. It's a nice set, I don't think they get the appreciation they deserve yet.

Thanks Guys! The guy also had 2 stone mint Arisaka rifles. One was a type 38 carbine with rubberized canvas sling and a type 99. I will post pics soon.

Please keep me in mind if either rifle becomes for sale! I've been looking for a minty carbine for 15 yrs!

              Hi All,

Here are some pics of the Arisaka Rifles. The type 38 is missing the magazine cover. The type 99 is missing the cleaning rod. I also got 2 mint bayonets with the rifles.

              Enjoy!

How can I tell what series these arisaka rifles are? These weapons were also taken at IWO. I have a nice news paper article about the guy his son emailed me.

                Thanks,

You will have to post up close up photos of the serial number area and the prefix Kana for us to know what the series is.
