    WTK Knee mortar pull tab

    Does anyone know where I can get the leather pull tab on the Japanese knee mortar?

        You need to see/borrow a mortar with tab attached.

          They are multi pieced and tapered you have one outter layer that goes through a loop then the you fill in the space between with tapered hunk of 1
          or 2 pieces that graduate to a thicker end to make the pull tab bottom larger I took a couple photos if you send your email I'll send them with measurements

            Here's mine:

            Four piece construction "stacked", 3' 7/16 long, 7/16ths thick at base, 9/16ths wide at base, each piece of leather is roughly 1/8 of an inch thick. Hope this helps.

                  T89 part

                  I had one of those in my hand complete with the triangle 'ring' on the end. It was in a shoebox of trinkets, screw, parts, junk US insignia, etc at a small show on a guys table - a grab bag box. I took it out and asked him how much - he looked at it and studied it for about 10 seconds and said ,'not for sale' and put in in a box under his tablle and shifted his attention to something else, did all this without eye contact - pissed me off needless to say and yes, I wanted to strangle the sob
