    Drawing on cloth

What can you tell me about this. It came with some flags and swords that were given me years ago by a local vet. What does it say?

    Thanks,
    Ron

It says Frank Paba san. Apparently a souvenir of the occupation or a gift from a POW to an American soldier or other.

      CB,

Thanks. You have also triggered my memory! You are correct on this item. I remembered as soon as I heard the name "Frank Pava" (I think you hit the "b", rather than the "v"). I dug into my stuff right away. I have photos of him in uniform that he gave me at the time he gave me the items. He was a USMC Cpl. with VMF 542, and he is the guy who gave me the flags that I posted earlier with the guys holding up his captured flags. In fact I think that is him front and centered between them. I have some other photos of him that he gave me at the time as well. I remember now that he told me this drawing, and one other he gave me of a Japanese woman in costume, were done for, and given to him by a Japanese prisoner at his base.

      Thanks,
      Ron
