    Pilots Scarve?

    Hello,
I recently found this piece of yellow dyed parachute silk at the Pomona show. It seems to be the perfect size for a pilots scarf. There is some kanji on the lower right side. I can make out some numbers but am at a loss as to the other characters. Any help with translation would be immensely appreciated!

I suppose you are right about this being for a pilot. It says

"Teru (Or Kagayaki or Ki) 2379 unit, Okadome Company
      Master Sergeant Nakaba"

There are 3 ways to read the first character and I'm not sure reach reading was applied in this case for verbal communication. That first kanji unit designation puzzles me. There was a "Hayabusa 2379 unit" which translates into the "Army 75th fighter squadron".
On the other hand, there were units that had the Teru designation, including a Tokko unit with the Baka bombs, but there the unit number doesn't match up.
Worth digging deeper with the research. Have fun
