Japanese Headgear?

I'm trying to identify the hat that is pictured below the Alpini hat, somebody suggested to me that it might be Japanese?? Anybody know? thanks

Yes! It's Fred's hat! Here's a complete picture, I have no idea what it is. It's made of chamois, maybe it's a forestry hat of some type. It did come with the Alpini hat so maybe it's Italian
