I'm not surprised as to the "modification" made. I am surprised that some one would waste time/effort/money to sell a tent stake.

There is/was a gun shot in El Cerrito (Old West Gun Room) where there is an iron fence around the store and the fence is topped with Arisaka bayonets. Also within the bars of the windows are bayonets pointing in to discourage a night time entrepenuer.

Not uncommon

My father's coffee buddy felt sheepish about 18 years ago when he brought out his two samurai swords that he brought back from the Pacific but he had used them as weed wackers on his farm. I bought the rest of the stuff but he realized what a dumb mistake he had made. Happened all the time way back when.
