Unknown Japanese Navy Pin/Badge - Help

Can anyone please tell me what this pin/badge is, and from what era? I am assuming that it is some sort of Japanese Navy Association or Veterans badge.

This is a war world II era Japanese badge for the "Friends of the Military Association". Civilian organization that supported the army and navy. There are a number of varitions on these badges depending upon which group they represented.
