    Japanese sword scabbard inscription

    Hello,
I just picked up a run-of-the-mill WWII Japanese Officers sword, but there in an inscription on the scabbard cover. I know many times these were done in hopes of possibly getting the sword returned.

    Sorry for the horizontal photo
    Thanks for nay assistance

if you turn it anti-clockwise 90 degree, then the line on your right hand side is the address, the upper 4 characters on left hand side is the guy's name. and the bottom 2 characters in small font means" please preserve", people normally write this on gift being given to others.
