here is some eye candy for you.
Received my latest sword made by the Kanezane Company. I understand Kanezane was one of the gendai sword smith during WW2.
The blade is in old polish, traditional hand forged blade and tight itame forging grain are clearly visible. The temperline are wavy gunome temper with togariba pattern throughout the blade and has o-maru temper at the point.
There is a silver plum flower family crest on the kabuto-gane.
The tsuba and seppa are matched number 1 stamped.
It measures unusual extra long length 27 1/2" cutting edge, 28 1/2" tip to the guard, 1 1/4" width, 1/4" thickness at the notch, and 43 1/2" in mountings.
