Hello All,
Despite being ruthlessly polished by someone (not me), is this Kite authentic? The back is blank. Is it late WW2 era?

It looks like a Meiji period piece but whovever polished it like that deserves a good kicking. Can you post a close up of the obverse centre please.

I hoped it was at least real. Meiji is better news. Hopefully in 20 or 50 years a real patina will dull the shine a little.
