Help with Translation of Helmets and Tunic Label

    Aloha,

Can anyone assist me in translating a few items in my collection? First is a procurment tag from my NLF M1940 Officers Tunic, I can make out where it was manufactured but can anyone tell me what the other letters say?

Next few photos are from another army helmet that I aquired directly from the 6th Marine Veteran who picked it up after the battle on Sugar Loaf Hill, Okinawa. Characters are on the front, left and right side and also on the inside front and rear rim. The character on the front is also painted on the right side.

Last is a plastic tag in the shape and size of a Japanese dog tag with Japanese Characters etched on it. I dug this up on Okinawa in a Japanese tunnel system last year.

                RyukyuTunnelRat,
The NLF tunic was made at Yokosuka in March of 1944. The name, so far as I can see, is: Kasamaru Sotaro (I'm notoriously bad with names so please allow for error). The name on the helmet is: Kitamura. The helmet size is large.

                Best,
                Gunnar

The tunic label would indicate that it is actually an enlisted issue. It could well have been used by an officer. The other name on the helmet looks like Tanizaki.

Kasamaru is right, but first name is Kentaro, not Sotaro.
The dog tag like disc is what you might call a marketing tag. It was attached to some commercial product and says " This is so handy, for caring of cutting blades". Maybe a sharpening stone?
