Well, while I cant be absolutely sure, it does look rather new and I have seen these in souvenir shops as well. There is a possiblity that it could be older, but cant determine that without examining the materials in hand.

I agree with cbuehler and plmurphy. There's a chance it could be original, but I doubt it. It just looks too "minty". Nice looking though!Comment

I will do an actual scan in the morning and post some close ups. It does (IMO) look a few decades old. Not to say some G.I. didn't pick it up in say 1954 or something in a tourist shop to bring back as a souvenier. The dealer I got it from has a sterling rep., he doesn't usually have any militaria so if I got burned it was just passed on....Comment
