Japanese soldier photo

I just thought you all would like to see this photo of a Japanese soldier -- I just bought it at an auction and liked the simplicity and look of it. The same auction just consigned a veteran's estate for next week with ,for starters, four samurai swords I actually bought four photos and found out the guy bidding agianst me (we talked later quite a bit) was the son of a man who made the Bataan death march and died in captivity during the war, so I gave him the best photo out of respect for his father.

Looks like a guy who was auditioning for Japanese SEARS model for the Japanese uniforms.

My guess is that the soldier is a cavalryman because of the boots he is wearing.
