Navy proficiency badge - Torpedo Firing?
Could anyone help identifing this Japanese Badge? I believe it may be for proficiency in torpedo firing but information seems to be limited on the internet. Any comments would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

This is the 1st Class Torpedo Proficiency Badge. It is a very rare item indeed so treasure it well

They were issued in the 1920s and 30s. The section in Peterson on badges has a decent enough section about them, as well as showing the various other badges in this series. As for value, I think it would be difficult to find it for less than US$2,500 these days.
