Japanese sword book help

Can someone recommend a reference for me on Japanese civil, para-military and military swords ? Not interested in Samauri, but other dress siderams.

A good book refer to is "Military Swords of Japan 1868-1945" by Richard Fuller and Ron Gregory. Thie is published by Arms and Armour Press and is now out of print. Obtain a copy from your library. Copies do come up from time to time on ebay or try bookshops. Another is "Swords of Imperial Japan" by Jim Gawson published byStenger Scott. Again out of print though a new edition is soon to be published. There is a great reference site that has been mentioned on this Forum you should refer to.

Japanese Civil and Military Swords & Dirks is much better -- you get all the data from their first book plus a lot more.

I just did an Amazon.com search for the title and am amazed (flabbergasted is a better word) that a used copy goes for $995!!???

This must be incorrect data???

Why is this book demanding such a price?? I bought mine for only about $30.

Its the best book , and its out of print.Thats why the high price.But okay 999 is to much.
I bourght mine for 80 us$.
I will look for one here in Denmark, if I get it, I let You guys know.
