    Translation help with NLF Cap

    Aloha Forum members,
Was hoping that someone can assist me in translating the tag inside my NLF Cap. Mahalo, David

    David,

The tag indicates that the cap was procured by "The First [or Number 1] Seito [Supply] Branch Department [or Bureau, or Section, etc.]" which is/was in Ch'ingtao (or Qingdao), China in October 1944.

The other marks are for name, service number, and date of issue. (Since there is nothing filled in the boxes, my guess is that the cap was never issued.)

    Hope this helps.

    Eric

P.S. Anyway we can we see some more photos of the cap???

Thank you Eric for the translation. I have never seen a cap from this area. Here are some photos of the Naval Landing Force Petty Officers Cap with yellow anchor on black backing in question. Enjoy.

David, links don't work for me. Nor can I cut & paste the address. Love to see the cap.

Got them to work. Great cap! Interesting variant especially with metal vents & yellow on black insignia!
