Help with MON on Japanese sword with ancestral blade

    Hello,

Can anyone please identify the MON. The blade is a wak and signed "Hoki {no} Kami Fujiwara Nobutaka". The mounts are naval.

    Thank you,

    Christopher

    Hi!
Is it possible to research a sword with MON, can you find out who had it?

Research of individual soldiers by mon is a total impossibility.By the end of the feudal period, every family in Japan used a mon of some form. The star mon with three bars is not commonly encountered. However, any form of crossing referencing to an individual is impossible.

Help with MON on Japanese sword with ancestral blade

        Hello,

I was told the wak had come from a Japanese admiral. Any information as to the MON would be most appreciated.
