Is there a good book or something that shows how packs were setup and leggings were tied things that a serviceman had to know? If anyone has a good picture of a pack that is setup please send or post it I got a blanket I'm trying to fold it so it works out to sit the pack and so far it isn't happening Im sure there is a trick to folding it correctly.

Japanese Military Uniforms 1930-1945 by Ritta Nakanishi shows several backpack set-ups as well as at least one method for tying leggings.
