With all the discussion on havelocks, I figured I would post these photos of a reproduction havelock...

Note location of cap tie holes!

Speaking of reproduction havelocks, I have two, each one from a different manufaturer/maker.

The funny thing is, each one is of a different size (as apparently the originals are). One fits a smaller original army cap of mine, while the other fits another original cap of a larger size!

Here are a couple of reproduction havelocks from Dan T.

Dan states that the havelock on the top is of Thai manufacture and fits his smaller army cap while the havelock on the bottom is the standard Nakata repro and fits the larger of his two caps.
