I think the paint just looks darkened from patina/age, the seller states most of the finish is gone.

I concur that the it is just the paint worn off showing the darkened finish underneath.

Night Camo Helmet

I requested additional photos from the seller on this helmet. The other members in this thread are correct. The darker "finish" has been created where the paint has worn away and the underlying helmet has darkened with age. Helmet liner is pretty rough too. Hope this helps. Mike
