Odd japanese helmet

I have a chance to buy this helmet in a helmet lot, its an odd japanese helmet, appears to be made of fiber like a us helmet liner, i was hoping someone here has seen something like it, my first thoughts are movie prop helmet, childs toy helmet, parade helmet, light weight tropical helmet?...i appreciate any and all info...thanks...mike
