WWII Japanese Nambu pistol with menuki

What are your thoughts on this Japanese Nambu Pistol Type 14 with grip ornaments? Overall it’s in great condition. I’m just not sure if it increases value or decreases collectibility. Are these fittings normally found on Nambu grips? Thanks for your help.

To my eye these tacks look like post-war embellishment. It would detract from value in my opinion.

I would guess post war also. This solider would have never been allowed to decorate his pistol.
