    Brass Anchor IJN Netted Helmet

    As promised here is my IJN netted helmet .Its named to the Kure Naval Depot.The helmet is Number 3016.

              A minor correction, it is 工作科
              ​​​Kōsaku-ka, maintenance branch.
              IJN ground units like special base forces and guard units will organize their troops under branches, for instance Rikujōkeibi-ka (ground security) and Naimu-ka (administration) are standard departments for the aforementioned unit types. Probably this helmet belonged to a larger unit that needed a maintenance branch to arm the unit or repair unit equipment and/or vehicles.

                    Thanks, I didn't catch that.

                    Arrggh .... no defense! (For others) when I checked 工作 ​​​Kōsaku I thought it was a wierd surname; just rechecked .... it's a GIVEN name. Double-bad on me.
