Japanese Navy Badges

I just pick this two badges and one picture from state sale ,can’t find anything about those two badges on internet

Both badges are IJN 2nd class proficiency badges, left one is damage control and the right is for lookout. The pic. is an unrelated police group photo.

Hi I forgot to show you guys the flag that was in that group , any special or just regular flag with good wishes?

Nothing wrong with the calligraphy, it's very nice! BUT .... the fact that it has a painted rising sun and there are no ties (so it's not a flag), give me some pause. It is signed multiple times by two families, the "flag" is dedicated to Sumizawa.

Guy, it probably says '政次' (Seiji).

The fact that the same hand signed multiple names gives me pause. The 大竹 names seem to be the same person, as are the 宗村 names. Generally speaking, the individual would sign his/her own name.

I think you're right about 政次, thanks! I agree with your analysis of the same handwriting and implications thereof!

Hope you and yours have not been swept away with all the heavy rains, floodings, and mud slides! Sheesh ... If I lived in that area I'd move to Hokkaido!! (^__^)
