This wakizashi is a recent find.The habaki had stuck to the 40cm blade and has since been removed and the tsuka is from something else and does not fit.Its surprisingly heavy for such a short blade and unfortunetly its unsigned.
It looks like it would polish up nicely. "Satsuma Rebellion Wrap" style .... not saying it *is* Satsuma Rebellion ... just the type. See this WAF thread.
