Unusual items brought back by vet

Ok, nothing mind-blowing here, but these Japanese woodworking tools were brought back by a US Army vet from the XXIV Corps which saw service on Okinawa and in the Philippines. I purchased them from his widow along with some actual militaria which I no longer have. Given that the Japanese seemed to build airfields and the like where ever they went, it's not surprising they'd bring along the tools with which to do it. Anyway, thought I'd share them before I get rid of them.

Great tools Steve! The Japanese were actually great engineers, especially when you consider much of what they built had to be done with handtools. Nice to see the orignal bag for your augers as well. Thanks for sharing!
