Helmet question

I have a chance to pick up this helmet and had a couple of questions as I am not very familiar with Japanese helmets.
1.Would this be a combat helmet?
2. If so, I heard or read combat helmets have the swab of paint around the helmet and this doesn't have it.
3 Would this be a type 90?
4. What is the difference between the greenish colored helmets and the tan colored ones.
Thanks for any help or info you would offer. The guy wants $400 which doesn't seem too bad to me.

To answer some of your questions. Its an original type 90 combat helmet in what looks to be a large size. not all helmets have the "touch up stripe". Different colors were used to paint helmets and they range from very Tan to almost Olive drab green. It seems to me that the earlier helmets tended to be more tan / brown and later helmets a little more green. Price is very reasonable base on condition and originality.
