Need help with an Adrian Helmet

    Hello all,

I am looking to give an WWI Adrian Helmet as a gift to a WW1 history buff in my family, but I know nothing about these helmets. Was wondering if someone could give me their opinion on the helmet pictured below, or just some general advice when looking at these in the future.

    Thanks a ton

    Adrian.

Hello, a nice ww1 Adrian for artillery.
Not the best condition, but nice. Liner is first type in one piece of leather. Size is stamped inside.
The crest is missing one rivet.
It can be clean with a soft brush on the paint and a little water. Leather can also be cleaned and reated with hand cream. Warning, the chinsatrpas (original here) are fragile.

      Fair condition artillery example.

You can do better, but you can do a lot worse too.

Artillery is 2nd most common behind infantry.

        Hello.
That is true in term of the front insignia's rarity, but the helmet shown here has a first type leather interior and a first type leather chinstrap, so it is not as common as it might appear at first glance.
And as it was already stated above the chinstrap is really fragile.

            Hello,
Nice Adrian 15 artillery helmet, with 1st type liner. Just a little cleaning.
Take a look inside, on the fabric between the leather and the helmet, it will be interesting to know the color.
            regards.
