    Italian pith helmet with war art?

    Italian tropical helmet with 'Badge'
    inked in and phrases and places in Italian. Interesting, trying to piece the story together.

      Nice helmet; of course it is missing the liner system and the chinstrap but its for sure an historical italian item.
      Originally belonged to a "black shirt" (in italian language "camicia nera" ), a volunteer of the "Fascist Italian Voluntary Guard (M.V.S.N)", it took part to the invasion of Ethiopia (1935-1937).
      Of sure interest the hand written MVSN motto and the MVSN badge (most probably the original brass CCNN badge was lost in the campaign).
