I know the ribvon on this is wrong. I am wondering about the era of the medal. It appears to be silvered tombak or brass.

Is there any chance of finding the correct ribbon?

Hi Bob, this is 5th grade issue post WWI to 1937, and yes, the ribbon is not that hard to find, there are modern repros for around 10$ and the original should be 40-50$!
Here is a pic of what it should look like!
