      That is British bayonet from 1800’s IMO, so I would post it in British section

          I wondered if it might be British too, but the quillons don'rt look like any UK made bayo I can think of.

              The scabbard looks bog standard for British, but how different are scabbards by nation? Also, if I'm seeing it right - old eyes - the grip is metal and few br bayos had that - mostly 19th century ones for bandsmen and maybe artilllery, so I'm going to stick with 'European, not British'.

                    I made a mistake................ SORRY

                    it's british, 2nd model Brunswick 1848
                    could be stamped Enfield on Ricasso, if not, private purchase

                    used by volunteers militia and colonies

                    more informations in this book:
                    Nouvel ABC, tome 3, page 131 (ABC N 1473), et dans le "British & Commonwealth Bayonets", de Skennerton et Richardson.
