Thailand/Siam Beret....I think

Does anyone recognize this beret? My first instinct is that it's from Thailand but I'm not sure. Also, does anyone know what era it's from?

i would agree, the crown looks really like a thailand crown

Had a look at the market yesterday and they have these both marked “Made in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:country-region><ST1Thailand</st1:country-region>,” and “Made in E<st1:country-region>ngland.</st1:country-region>” It is for recruits to the Thai army – the guy said – student army. The cost, less than a pound.
