Iraqi M90 Camo Republican guard helmet

Hello all some people think this is a fake and "made up" helmet so I was curious to see what you all think about it here. This helmet was picked up in 2003/2004 in the Baghdad/Karbala area according to the man I purchased it from.

Based on the pictures I don't get a good feeling from this one.

The triangle may be junk, but the injury and internal damage and staining do not seem to be.

My primary concern is the Arab number 2 on the side. It looks like it was painted by a western hand. The camo paint seems to be over that. Enough to make me suspicious.
