unknown canteen found on a flea market

I found this today for sale on a flea market in stockholm, only 2 euros (20 sek). I bought it without knowing what it was, there is absolutly no markings on it, but it was looking german so why not. My guess is that it's civilian, but I noticed some similarities with old style german canteen. The snaps have a "star" pattern. What do you think?
