      Basic french M45 post war shoes dated 53 and reception in 54 ,
      type with rubber soles .Existing with leather soles+nails .

          French boots.

          Hello yes, the soles are original military. They where worn in Indochina and Algeria.

            I was going to guess that they dated from the '50s based on the technology: the soles are stitched and nailed, rather than being directly moulded to the uppers. I'd also guess possibly unissued, or worn only a little, based on the condition - no wear on the treads and the stamps are not worn/blurred.

              Mle. 45 shoes don't pop up often, but the ones that do are usually unissued.

              I wear my Mle. 52 boots regularly. Very comfy after they've been broken in.

                  Yes, modern combat boots, designed by docotrs and podiatrists, are usually good footware, once tyou wear the 'stiff' out of them. 'If we're gonna get them, killed, at least they should be able to do it in comfortable shoes!'
