    Polish 1939 Canteen.

Hi, I have this, I think the stopper is 1950s, but the body of the canteen is dated 1939, is it original ? What means the numbers ? Thanks.

FWAB stands for Fabryka Wyrobow Aluminiowych i Blaszanych (Factory of Aluminium and Metal Produts). 1939 is a year. 5 digit number is a serial number. I can't comment on a lid.

                  Thanks !
I think it is an army postwar repair on a war time canteen, is it correct ?

P.s. To indicate the era of the cap, i think you need a photo of the upper side of it, a photo of the marks.
