    Unusual Entrenching Tool and Cover

    Hey guys,

Ran across this e-tool and carrier, never seen this two part design before. Does anyone know what country this belongs to? Guessing this is from the 60s-70s.

I want to say èGermanè or èeast Blocè for the shovel, just based on general look but I wonder if perhaps the coverécarrier is privately made or repaired. The lether 'button' closing is a very 19th century device and looks out of place on a clearly late 20th century implement. Puzzling and intriguing.

I did some searching and found it's Czech, at least according to Sportsman's Guide:

In the picture is the signature "KT 22" means the Polish technical inspection. (KT= Kontrola Techniczna). Shovel end cover is 100% Polish.

Does somebody maybe know what the 500M >>--> I mark means? Could it also be used as a pole for measuring distances, for example, or is it something else?

                Regards,
                Giorgos

Probably 500mm / half a meter . You have to spread out and measure it.

Thanks for the information, looks like Sportsman's Guide was wrong.
