    Spanish paratrooper sleeve badge

Found this Spanish Franco sleeve badge today, I know nothing about it. Can anybody tell me anything it's period and use?
    Thanks

Interesting piece! I can't recall seeing anything like this in metal. How big is it?

Dress uniform sleeve badges are cloth, so that isn't what it is. The crown is the Franco period type, so that means it is at least as old as 1975.

Here's a link to the dress uniform arm badge:

Interesting. That's about arm badge size, for sure. I wonder if this was fixed to a piece of wool/felt and sewn onto some sort of special uniform, like for parades, funerals, etc. Because it does seem to be an arm badge, but as far as I know metal was never used. Though I don't know much about the 1950s uniforms.

Whatever you have, I'd say it is original and probably difficult to find. I think it's worth putting in some time reaching out to dedicated Spanish collectors and see if they can ID it for you.
