    What does the ABL in Uniforms stand for?

      In the 30ies and 40ies it was ABBL

      After the war it became ABL. It was a simplification. 1 letter for the same word in dutch or french was used and still is in use within the Belgian military.

      For example: GID = Gedetailleerde Instructie - Instruction Détaillée.I t would be stupid to put GIID. It has to be as short as possible.
