Unknown Military Insignia Band ID Request

    Gentlemen;

We have an unknown military insignia, the length is 23 inches, there is good aging on this insignia and we believe it is WWII vintage.

    Does anyone recognize this object?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Best regards to all,

    Clay

One WAF member has suggested this band might be French. Could anyone confirm this?

    Best regards,

    Clay

      Never seen anything like it.

Sure the cockade is a french style, but the laurels almost look Latin American...

      Cufftitle?

        Hi,
the cockade is also a match with the Paraguay airforce.

We don't know if its a cufftitle or a hat band. This band has a length of 23 inches which seems to us to be a little too long for a cufftitle.

                Kees,

Thanks for the link to the site. Very interesting. I have a uniform for this organization and I lost the information on it. I found this hat on the web that appears to have this subject hat band on it.

                Regards,

                Gordon

Chiffonnier is right: Dutch labor service (NAD). What was shown in post 1 actually is a cap band.

This headgear was discussed in volume 5 from "Headgear of Hitler's Germany", pages 487 through 496. A likewise cap, but with actual chin-strap
was shown from the Henk van den Berg-collection.
