    Ken's Russian big case 2

    Here is Ken's second monster size case of Russian medals. Ken, this group is from your photo numbered 13.

    These are the more run of the mill medals mostly related to WWII; Victory over Germany and Japan; Defense of Moscow, Leningrad, etc; capture of Budapest, Vienna, etc. post WWII medals for civilins for the restoration of the Dunbas Coal Mines and the Iron and Steel Indusry etc. ; the various jubilee medals for the armed forces; the anniversary medals for Moscow, etc.

    Beginning with the last medal in the next to the last row and continung through the last row are the long service medals for the military; the same set for the MVD (Ministry of Interior), and the same set for the KGB. The reverses are different for the three groups.

      I showed these photos to Ranger and he was impressed as I was. Skip has posted his Russian medals which are also very nice. I wonder if he has seen this thread.
