Top left is a wounded veterans association piece, you have the 1870-71 service medal, Engagees Volontaires bar on the 1870 campaign remembrance medal, St Helene, CdG WW1 model, 1920s-1950s train civil service medal.

The table medal is a recognition piece from the 1920s/1930s. This is for the association of the Legion d'Honneur - not tied to the Foreign Legion unless you have other documents for it...

I did not think it has something to do with the French foreign legion. Anyhow to whom and for what was that big Legion d'Honneur medal given ?

                Hello
I think the table medal is a "not used prototype" (épreuve d'auteur 2/5)
it means only 5 items made
                so, very scarce !!!
made by "Monnaie de Paris", but can you find the name of the engraver ?
I ask the french medal forum
                cordially

                      Hello skalp
the engraver is Léon Galtié born in 1908
5 first medals were made for him, you have one
it's not a prototype, we can find some medals with the name of a member of the Society of LH
                      interresting item you have
                      cordially
