Hello All,
I picked up this badge that was simply advertised as "Polish regimental badge". No other information was provided, and I cannot find it in any reference materials. Given the parts appear stamped and it is multi-part construction, I would suspect it is not a simple copy. As to whether it is Polish, this is to be confirmed.
Based on the winged skull and the propeller in the back, I am guessing it relates to an air force regiment. The V at the top I am guessing is the roman numeral 5. I thought it could relate to the V Grupa Lotnicza, but cannot find any specific emblems to substantiate this (http://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/V_Grupa_Lotnicza). Perhaps I am grasping at straws, but I did find it interesting that it has a red felt backing just like the 7 Eskadra Mysliwska - the Kosciuszko Squadron.
Anyone have any thoughts of what it could be?
Cheers,
Brandon
