Medal for the Defenders of Belfort miniature

I want to show you this miniature of the 1870-1871 defence of belfort.
Just picked this up locally as a grounddug sale.
There are 6000 made of the original sized medals so maybe much less minis are made i think
I rarely see them.

Hello, looks to be a association badge. The design is from Bartholdi who made the Lion statue in Belfort.
