Take note that that beret insignia- gold winged arm with dagger on top of the fouled anchor- appeared in late-1962. It briefly supplanted the winged dagger atop the fouled anchor adopted in 1958, only to be phased out in the late 1960's to be replaced by the 1958 model, which is still in use today. For 6e RPIMa, the tan beret and/or the gold Troupes de Marines parachutist insignia would not have been correct until after the Algerian War had ended.
