    Origin of these pouches?

    Probably these (Mauser?) pouches are pre-WWII or WWII era, but I don't know for shure. They might be unofficial Belgian, they might be from any other country that used the mauser.....

    Thoughts anyone? No markings found.

    Aren't those WW1 German ones?

      Didn't the WWI german ones had round, D-formed rings in stead of the flat, rectangular ones of my pouches?

        I used to use a set like these reenacting WWI. Mine were just awful because the lids to the boxes were too small to fit over the box itself. I have been told that they were Peruvian. All I can say is that they aren't Finnish, or Polish, or German, and I'm pretty sure they aren't Turkish, but I wouldn't know that for sure. My Turkish ones I currently use are beautiful, even have Drings on the back, but stink like an old goat. These presumed Peruvian ones never smell bad....hope this helps...
