Imperial Russian Family member - Help needed

I have posted a picture of my Great-Uncle in Uniform. I am told that the picture is dated 1912. My family is from Russia. Can anyone provide any additional details, for example based on the uniform what did this person do? I have included a close up of the shoulder boards. Any help is apprecaited

Your relative is a yefreitor (Russian military rank, next after the private) of the 3rd Armoured Car unit.

I don't understand why you have mentioned the Russian Imperial Family in the topic. There's evidently no relationship.
