Unknown European Military Hat - Similar to Swiss Alpine Cap, but khaki

I bought this thing today at a flea market for $5.

Does anyone know what this is and where it came from? The seller had no clue about it.

It has flaps that attach to the top that can be lowered like the common surplus store Swiss alpine cap.

The eagle on the button is similar to the eagle on the Polish crest (crown, 3 rows of "tail feathers"), but the one on the button has a cross in the body and isn't exactly the same as the one on the crest. My (as well as my friends') guess is that it's from Eastern Europe based on the style of the eagle.

There's plastic reinforcement in the front where the bill is:

Thanks for the info. Do you know what time period this came from and who used it?

Looks like a Kings Crown, so after 1975. Up to then, the Coronet of the Franco Era was used.
